What can I say?! The first Homestead Reed Run was a huge success! The Wiley, Morgan, Parker Fund will be even closer to it’s fund-raising goal because of everyone’s enthusiasm, love and participation in the first Reed Run!!

I wanted to express my deepest heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Your outpouring of support and love for Wiley, Morgan, Parker and me made the Reed Run an incredibly healing and magical day. It was great to be amongst my Homestead family again, celebrating the Reed boys’ lives. Thank you for honoring them and keeping them in your hearts. This was the first day that I could celebrate their lives without feeling sad. Words cannot express how much that means to me.

It was beautiful to look around and see everyone come together to have a great time, support a wonderful cause, and celebrate life. I know that Wiley, Morgan and Parker were smiling down from heaven, truly happy for us all. That is how they want to be remembered and how they lived life, truly enjoying every moment. Even in heaven, Wiley, Morgan and Parker are teaching us this important message.

The Reed Run would not have been possible if it hadn’t been for my friend, Chris Watson, who brought up the idea to Homestead Elementary. With only two months to plan the event, the committee, Deb Haines, Chris Sanning and Steve Johnson, did an amazing job of organizing and hosting the Reed Run. The day of the race went so smoothly and everyone had a great time. Thank you to Scott Schleich for MC’ing the event and all of the volunteers. Thanks also to all of the participants and families who came out to celebrate the Reed Run 2005. Without all of you the Reed Run would not have been possible.

A very special thanks to Eon Business for hosting this website.

Very special thanks also to Rainbow Rewards for donating all of the water bottles for every participant.
