Dear Friends and Family,

I hope all of you have had a wonderful summer; it has certainly gone by fast. I have very exciting news about the Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund that I want to share with you. On October 18th of 2004, I established this fund in memory of my precious family that perished in a plane crash July 4th, 2003. My ambitious goal of raising $100,000 by fiscal year end seemed like another enormous mountain for me to climb. However, I am happy to report that the fund has raised $91,000 as of the end of August!!

This would not have been possible were it not for all of your generous hearts. Thank you for making my dream become a reality. Each time I receive a notice from the Denver Foundation that a donation has been made to the Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund, my heart soars with hope and perseverance. It constantly amazes me how much people still care for Wiley, Morgan, Parker and myself. It certainly has given me strength to move forward without them this second year. I know that “the Boys” are honored and extremely proud of all of us for making a difference in this world, in their memory.

Once we reach our goal of raising $100,000, the next phase will be to decide on a family (through Chinese Children's Charities) who will receive the first Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund grant. This recipient will be decided by their financial needs and desire to be a loving family to a Waiting Child. It will be an extremely exciting part of this journey and it is our hope that you would like to be a part of making a difference in a child's life and a family's life as well. The recipients of theWiley, Morgan and Parker Fund will proudly be introduced in future updates posted at www.wileymorganparker.org. Once their Waiting Child has been chosen, updates on the progress of the adoption will come as well. And so, the exciting story of connecting a Waiting Child with a family unfolds! The best news is that these grants will come only from the interest on $100,000 we raised. Thus, we will provide at least one $5000 grant every year!

Furthermore, once we reach $100,000, all additional money raised each year will provide more families with grants. For example, if we raise $15,000 next year, three $5000 grants will be awarded in addition to the yearly grant. Homestead Elementary (Morgan and Parker’s school) has agreed to make the Reed Run/Walk an annual event. This past May, the Reed Run/Walk raised over $10,000 with only a few months to plan the event. With this fundraiser every spring, and another fall fundraiser to be determined, it is very likely that we will be giving numerous grants every year!

The deadline of reaching our goal is six weeks away and fast approaching. We’re just $9,000 away! I cannot express how much giving out that first grant will mean to myself and my family. Uniting a Waiting Child with his or her new family will be another major step towards truly making a difference in this world while honoring Wiley’s, Morgan’s and Parker’s lives. For those of you who have considered making a donation to the Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund, we ask that you help us with this last hurtle of this journey’s phase. For those of you who have already contributed, thank you, thank you, and thank you. The Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund would not be where it is today without your love, support and generosity.

Thank you dearly for your time and consideration. Be sure to sign the guest book to receive updates and please feel free to download this letter to forward to anyone you think might be interested in helping.

With all my love,

Wiley, Morgan and Parker Fund
